State goal subcommittees each work to accomplish one of
the initiative's three key goals:
 |
Expand Ohio schools' participation in
the USDA School Breakfast Program. |
 |
Ensure healthy snacks and foods are
available in vending machines, school stores
and other venues within the school's control. |
 |
Ensure children have access to quality
co-curricular physical activity programs,
inside and outside the school day. |
These teams develop, implement and evaluate programs
and resources that support the efforts of regional
zone teams and school buildings to increase the
healthfulness of school environments. Teams include
school food service directors, physical education
teachers and representatives from the state steering
committee. We invite others who are interested in one
or more of these goals to join a state goal subcommittee.
