Policy and Awareness
Media
The Ohio Action for Healthy Kids advocacy committee, chaired by Ohio Rep. Jon Peterson and Dr. Robert Murray, aims to expand awareness of Ohio's child health crisis by providing education to the Ohio Legislature about the health environment of schools.

In 2006 the committee held three breakfast meetings at the Ohio Statehouse, each sharing with legislators one of the initiative's key goals. Now the committee is working to educate Ohio legislators about the current status of Ohio's schools and to support their work as they begin to craft bill language that would impact the school health environment.
