Annual Zone Team Workshop The Annual Zone Team Workshop took place on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at The Vineyard Church of Columbus. It turned out to be a huge success and we want to thank everyone in attendence for their contribution. There were 60 attendees which included Zone Team members, Steering Committee members, and two AFHK team members from West Virginia. We have to thank all of the day's speakers for introducing new concepts and resources that will be shared throughout the zones. All of the information from the workshop is included on this page. Attendees Annual Zone Team Workshop Attendees Steering Committee Organizations State of OAFHK Update Speaker: Karen Bakies The State of OAFHK Presentation addressed the vision for the future of OAFHK, an update on state activities (ie. fundraising, policy, products/services) and information on AFHK at the national level. Zone Sustainabilty and Collaborative Partnerships Speakers: J.D. Beiting, Carol Gill The presentation discussed best practices and new techniques for zones to leverage their strengths, improves collaboration techniques and facilitation skills. In each binder there were copies from the book, Collaboration: What Makes It Work, 2nd Edition. Engaging School Administrators Speakers: Fred Fastenau, Kathy Lowery This break-out session discussed how to reach out to school administrators on school wellness. Fred Fastineau and Kathy Lowery both provided their insight during the session, and Deanna Putman also shared some information from Patty Lamielle, Principal at Dellroy Elementary School.

There were three speakers in this session: Barbara Burns, Marcia Buzzell and Mary Chace.

Ruth Dudding and Charlie Kozlesky spoke about different programs in the Ohio.

Each zone received a CD with the Communication Tools on it.
